Ranleti
Privacy Policy

Your church data stays under your control.

Ranleti helps churches track attendance and follow up with members through admin tools and automated reminders. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

You own your church data
No selling of member data
Delete/export on request
Security-first access controls

Effective date: 2nd January 2026

1) The simple promise

Ranleti is built for churches. We use your information only to provide the service (attendance tracking, follow-up workflows, reminders, and support). We do not sell your data, we do not run ads using your member list, and we do not “mine” your members for marketing.

  • Control: Your church admins decide what is entered, who can access it, and when it should be removed.
  • Transparency: We keep data collection minimal and explain why each type is needed.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of church data and account data anytime (details below).

2) Who this applies to

This policy applies to Ranleti’s website and platform (“Ranleti”, “we”, “us”) and to churches and their authorized users (“you”). If you are a church admin, you are responsible for using Ranleti in line with your church’s policies and applicable privacy laws.

3) What we collect

We collect only what’s needed to run Ranleti and support your church.

Church & account info

  • Church name, branch/unit details (if provided)
  • Admin names, email, phone number, role/permissions
  • Login/security information (e.g., hashed passwords)

Member & attendance info (entered by your church)

  • Member name and phone number (for follow-up workflows and reminders)
  • Attendance records and follow-up notes (e.g., call status, feedback)
  • Groups/assignment info (e.g., which admin is responsible for a group)

Technical & usage data

  • Device/browser info, IP address, logs for security and troubleshooting
  • Basic analytics (to improve reliability and performance)

4) How we use data (and how we do NOT use it)

We use data to:

  • Provide core features (attendance tracking, group management, follow-up workflows)
  • Send reminders and notifications you trigger in the product (e.g., WhatsApp/SMS reminders)
  • Prevent fraud/abuse and keep the platform secure
  • Provide customer support, training, and onboarding
  • Improve features and fix bugs (using aggregated/limited technical data where possible)

We do NOT:

  • Sell your church member list or contact details
  • Use your member data to advertise to them
  • Claim ownership over your church’s member data

Note: Any messages your church chooses to send (e.g., to members) are your church’s communications. Ranleti acts as a tool to deliver what you request.

5) WhatsApp/SMS and third parties

Ranleti may use third-party providers to deliver messages (e.g., SMS delivery services, WhatsApp messaging integrations) and to process payments or provide hosting.

  • We share only what is necessary (e.g., phone number + message content) to deliver a message you initiate.
  • Providers are not allowed to use your data for their own marketing to your members (where contractually possible).
  • Payment processors handle card/bank details; Ranleti should not store full card details.

If you want a list of active sub-processors/providers used by your church’s account, email us and we’ll share what applies.

6) Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide Ranleti to your church, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

  • Active account: data stays available so your church can use the service.
  • Deletion request: we delete/anonymize as described below.
  • Backups: like most services, secure backups may retain data for a limited period before being overwritten.

We recommend churches keep internal policies for how long attendance and follow-up notes should be stored.

7) Your rights: access, export, correction, deletion

Churches are in control of their data in Ranleti.

  • Access & correction: update church/member data inside the dashboard.
  • Export: request a copy of your church data in a reasonable format (where supported).
  • Deletion: request deletion of specific records (a member) or your full church account data.

How to request deletion: Email hello@ranleti.com from your church admin email with the subject DATA DELETION REQUEST and include: church name, admin name, and what you want deleted (member / group / full account).

We may need to verify you’re authorized before deleting church data (to prevent someone else from wiping your records).

8) Security measures

We take security seriously and use practical safeguards to protect church and member information.

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) where available
  • Access control and role/permission separation for admins
  • Monitoring and logging to detect suspicious activity
  • Secure password storage (hashed, not plain text)
  • Limited staff access on a need-to-know basis

No system is 100% risk-free, but we work to prevent unauthorized access and respond quickly if issues arise.

9) Cookies

We may use cookies/local storage to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and improve performance. You can control cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if disabled.

10) Legal basis and compliance

Ranleti processes personal data to provide the service requested by your church, to meet legitimate security needs, and where required, based on consent or other lawful grounds.

If your church operates in Nigeria, relevant frameworks may include Nigeria’s data protection regime (e.g., NDPA 2023 / NDPR principles). If your church serves members in other regions, additional laws may apply.

11) Children’s information

Ranleti is intended for church administration. If your church stores information about minors, the church should ensure it has the appropriate consent/authority to do so under applicable law and church policy.

12) Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes, we may also notify church admins inside the platform or by email.

13) Contact
